Dr. John B. C. Lem

Dr. Lem completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.  He received his D.M.D degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 1980, graduating near the top of his class.  After two years of private practice, he returned to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to earn his Certificate in Orthodontics in 1984.

He moved to the Merrimack Valley in 1984 and has practiced orthodontics in Lawrence, Massachusetts for over 25 years.  Dr. Lem has dedicated his professional career to providing his patients with the best possible orthodontic care.  With the knowledge he has accumulated over the years, along with the number of patients he has treated, each with their specific orthodontic needs and challenges, he has the ability to treat almost every orthodontic problem possible.

Dr. Lem is continually expanding his knowledge through membership in the following professional organizations – the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Merrimack Valley District Dental Society, and the Tufts Association of Orthodontists.  This enables Dr. Lem to learn about the latest advances in technology and orthodontic techniques. This enhances his ability to provide his patients with healthy, functional, and beautiful smiles.

Outside of his office, Dr. Lem enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, his two daughters, Jessica and Julia, and his son, Matthew. His hobbies include computers, reading, bicycling, fishing, and tennis and rooting for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
