Dr. Veronica Mitko


Biography

Dr. Veronica Mitko is a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University and received her D.M.D degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. With a special interest in dental public health, she completed an externship with the Indian Health Service in Arizona, while still in dental school. After graduation, Dr. Veronica moved to the Midwest and completed her pediatric dentistry residency training at The Ohio State University Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. During her two-year specialty training she became proficient in the newest and advanced techniques in sedation and hospital dentistry, orthodontics, treatment of dental and maxillofacial injuries, and treatment of children with special needs. Dr. Veronica has practiced dentistry in a hospital setting, taught dental students at Ohio State, and conducted research on changing consumption patterns of teens with cavities.

Dr. Veronica is committed to a light-hearted and enthusiastic approach to dentistry. It is the multidisciplinary and dynamic nature, the energetic environment, and the challenge to cultivate lifelong relationships with families that keeps her motivated in the practice of dentistry. In her free time, Veronica enjoys running, cooking, paper crafting, restoring furniture, and traveling.
